Sludge Box: Usually a 25-yard capacity roll-off container equipped with a gasketed gate for storage and transportation of sludges. Most containers have canvas covers but containers featuring metal lids offer an increased margin of safety. Also known as: roll-off, sludge container, sealed-gate roll-off, sealed-gate sludge box, vapor-tight roll-off, haz box, haz container, haz roll-off, haz roll-off box.
Dewatering Box: Frequently a 25-yard capacity roll-off container equipped with steel mesh screens to facilitate dewatering of sludges, clarification of liquids and phase separation of various compounds. These can be equipped with a gasketed aluminum lid to contain vapors or removable poly cover to facilitate loading and drying. Also known as: phase separator, de-watering container, de-watering box, dewatering roll-off, haz dewatering box.
Secondary Containment Berm: Usually a berm made of polyethylene transported to and erected at a Customer worksite on which other container equipment is placed. Serves to contain incidental spills and accidental releases. Can be used in conjunction with a Frac Tank, Vac Box, Mini-Frac Tank, Sludge Box, Dewatering Box or any kind of Roll-Off Container.
