The Construction Company chose E-Tank and E-Pump because of our Certified Clean tanks and our ability to provide all of the equipment required to build the system.
Many cities around the country have combined sewer systems, with wastewater and stormwater traveling the same channels to treatment facilities. Under heavy rainfall, these systems are overloaded, spilling sewage into local rivers and streams. One solution is to build an underground tunnel system that empties water into a retention pond where it can be stored until treatment facilities are able to clean and process it.
A major Midwestern City is working on such a project, drilling an eight-mile, 20-foot diameter tunnel through limestone and dolomite 250 feet below the surface. Collaborating with the company hired to do the drilling, E-Tank is privileged to be part of this historic project.
As it bores through stone and rock, the drilling equipment constantly needs to be lubricated with bentonite slurry. E-Tank provides open top tanks, pumps, hose, and manifolds to create a reservoir system for the slurry needed for the process. The Construction Company chose E-Tank and E-Pump because of our Certified Clean tanks and our ability to provide all of the equipment required to build the system.
